It is also used to mean the planting of perennial <a href=\"https:\/\/gro-ezy.com\/index.php\/encyclopedia\/legume\/\" target=\"_self\" title=\"any plant that grows seeds in a pod such as peas and beans\" class=\"encyclopedia\">legume<\/a>s on a <a href=\"https:\/\/gro-ezy.com\/index.php\/encyclopedia\/fallow-land\/\" target=\"_self\" title=\"Land that is being given a temporary rest from crop production.\" class=\"encyclopedia\">fallow land<\/a> to quicken\/shorten the restoration period. Here the area to be <a href=\"https:\/\/gro-ezy.com\/index.php\/encyclopedia\/fallow\/\" target=\"_self\" title=\"left without tilling or sowing after plowing\" class=\"encyclopedia\">fallow<\/a>ed is deliberately sown to <a href=\"https:\/\/gro-ezy.com\/index.php\/encyclopedia\/legume\/\" target=\"_self\" title=\"any plant that grows seeds in a pod such as peas and beans\" class=\"encyclopedia\">legume<\/a>s (biennial or perennial), which assists in the fertilization of the soil; thus shortening the <a href=\"https:\/\/gro-ezy.com\/index.php\/encyclopedia\/fallow\/\" target=\"_self\" title=\"left without tilling or sowing after plowing\" class=\"encyclopedia\">fallow<\/a> period.
