Professor E. C. Odion

Professor Odion is an expert in Agronomy who spent 30 years at the Department of Agronomy, Institute for Agricultural Research, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He has spent many years actively involved with development of cropping systems that can enhance productivity among peasant farmers using organic agriculture practices including agro-ecology, allelopathy and pests and diseases control with botanicals. He has an interest in clipping/thinning management of legumes for the production of green manure to complement soil fertility with animal manures; as well as composting residues from the farm to reduce the loses from the land.
